One of the goats we have. Champ came to us as a rescue when he was born with a locked knee on his back leg. He will never use that leg but gets around just fine on 3! He doesn't like being with the other goats as he gets picked on so he runs in the horse pasture

AnimalFamily: Ahhh, what a little cutie pie you are, Champ! Is he a Pygmy goat? Our goats are Pygmy crosses. Med size. I love this smaller size goat. They are much easier to work with.

Catherine: What a cute little goat. How brave of him to run with the horses. I would have thought big horses would be far more scary than goats.

Aleshia It's what I think as well, the other goats can see and sense that he is weaker then them because of his leg where the horses just don't care

Catherine The horses probably love him for being weaker. We all love the little one and have a soft spot for it. Why should horses be different.

Bock That is so sweet! I imagine the horses give him a bit of protection as well, perhaps?
    • Catherine
Aleshia Yes they do, my gelding is the herd leader and if the goat calls he leads the rest of the herd to him lol

Catherine That is so cute. The horses must really like the little goat. Your gelding sounds like a good leader.
