There's no telling these days what someone will drop off on the side of the road!
Our neighbor called the other day and said he just passed a domestic bunny sitting on the side of the road at the edge of our property. He thought maybe it belonged to us.
Bock and Papa Bear went to check it out. The little rascal ran away.
2 days later while we were BBQing, Bock noticed the little fella/lady down by our brush pile having a snack.
He/she has been there ever since. So I guess we have been officially adopted.
Yesterday, I was taking some vegie snacks down to the little sweetheart and noticed it was in the company of one of the MANY wild rabbits we have down there. They were about 5 feet apart and just sitting there staring at eachother.
Both scattered when I got very close. The new bunny just kind of meandered away and the wild bunny wasn't particularly spooked either.
All our bunnies here are pretty "chill" as they know we are no threat to them.
I'm kind of anxious to see if some breeding goes on between the new bunny and the wild ones.
How cool would that be!!!!!
