Lately I've been noticing a sheen on one of my degu's eyes (Rosemary)
He's very young and I think has develloped cataracts on both eyes. There's not a lot of good vets in town. I think it's genetics...However none of his brothers has developed cataracts. They eat the same diet, drink the same water and I'm really frustrated.
How can I make this little one's life a comfortable one until I see a vet? He doesn't seem to have much problems but seems slightly leaner than his brothers (probably due to being bullied away from the food more than anything.)
Please help.
I had to jump over to Firefox to answer this. I found a Degu Forum that is discussing this issue. They even hhave pictures. I am going to post the link so you can read their advice directly.

The important thing is to know that your Degu can live a happy life even if it is mostly blind.
If she is timid of eating with the others, you could separate her for feeding.
